MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
The former hurricane Hermine will ride north along the Atlantic coast of the United States, departing our region. A stretch of moisture, partially influenced by the air flow around the leftover tropical storm, will produce clouds and periods of passing showers or even an occasional thunderstorm this evening and early in the morning. This boundary will shift southward toward the coast through Saturday, putting a focus for scattered rain action there, while inland areas, particularly north of the state line, will experience a slightly drier trend. Lows tonight will be around 70° in the interior to the mid 70s at the coast. Highs may fall shy of average depending on the extent of the cloud cover, so mid to upper 80s are more likely. Moisture lingers through the holiday weekend, especially for the Big Bend, but more dry air will flow into the area in the early part of next week, reducing the risk for showers and storms substantially.
