TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Temps back off slightly over the next couple days as storm chances go back up. After temps reached their hottest levels since last August in the upper 90s with heat index values in the triple digits, overnight lows will fall into the low 70s. An impending upper level low pressure system will drift into the Southeast the next couple days increasing rain chances, primarily for the afternoon and evening. Temps will get into the low 90s. Scattered to widespread storminess is expected on Sunday with an isolated threat for some severe weather, in the categories of some small hail and high wind gusts. Temps will near 90° before storms boil up. Temps will be in the upper 80s with increased cloud cover to kick off next week. A tropical low may be in the Gulf at this point aiding in some more storminess. We'll hold onto some storms, mainly in the Suwannee Valley on Tuesday as temps heat back up into the mid 90s. Mid to upper 90s and drier, clearer conditions are expected to round out next work week.
