MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The tropics are fairly active with Tropical Depression Fred and newly named Tropical Storm Grace.
Tropical Depression Fred is continuing to churn in the eastern open Atlantic and is forecast to move to the northeast later this work week. It has the potential to re-intensify into a tropical storm but will likely just be a marine interest for the next week.
Tropical Storm Grace is southeast of the Cape Verde Islands and continues to look healthy on satellite imagery as it pushes to the west. The forecast track takes Grace to the east toward the Lesser Antilles and the storm is forecast to strengthen, though it likely wont be a hurricane this week. The storm will push through a rough environment which will keep the circulation from intensifying too much.
Stay tuned for another update on Sunday...
