TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- The tropics are relatively quiet right now, with only one area of interest in the Atlantic Basin.
Post-Tropical Cyclone Leslie has been meandering through the central Atlantic Ocean since late September. Now, Leslie is getting ready to make landfall in Portugal. Currently, the system is about 85 miles south southwest of Porto, Portugal with sustained winds of 70 mph.
Leslie is still moving northeast at 35 mph. Heavy rain will effect parts of Portugal and Spain Saturday night and Sunday.
Beyond that storm, there are no other areas of interest in the tropics to talk about. The National Hurricane Center is not expecting to see an area of disturbed weather in the next five days.
