The afternoon and evening seabreeze showers are struggling to multiply with the presence of higher air pressure around the region ... but the few that do form may cause quick downpours and isolated lightning and thunder. Any rain activity will likely remain confined to coastal areas, and linger through late-evening. Elsewhere, scattered clouds will thin out late as temperatures falling through the 80s and bottom out in the lower 70s areawide overnight. Thursday, we begin to lose the strength of the high pressure, but it'll still be sufficient to limit rain coverage in the afternoon to 20% of the area. Highs will rebound to the middle 90s with a mainly light westerly wind. Upper-level disturbances to the south and the north will clash over the region this weekend, causing a significant increase in shower and storm coverage.
