The cold front has swept away the cloudiness and thunderstorms … as well as the lingering warmth! Northwesterly winds are funneling in plenty of northern cold air, returning the region to a feel of mid-winter for the next few days. Temperatures today will rise to only around 60° and the lower 60s with a fairly stiff breeze. The air is quite dry, so sunshine should be abundant with only a few passing thin clouds. Tonight, we’ll maintain a slight breeze, but lows will still dip well into the 30s. A brief light freeze can’t be ruled out, but the wind will keep temperatures from falling to extremely low levels. The colder wave will be reinforced by a dry cold front tomorrow, which will stretch below-average readings and sunshine through most of this week. A slight warm-up is forecast over the Easter weekend with a few more clouds.
