TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - There are three disturbances scattered across the Atlantic Ocean. The low pressure system located hundreds of miles west-southwest of the Cape Verde Islands is very likely to develop into a tropical depression. If it develops, it'll take on the name "Ida."
There is a tropical wave located right off the coast of Africa producing disorganized storms. This system is moving slowly westward with a 30% chance of gradually developing into a tropical system through the work week.
Showers and thunderstorms located directly east of Mexico are associated with an area of low pressure that has a 30% chance of cyclone formation by the weekend. It is slowly moving towards Mexico, but land interaction should slow down the development process.
