MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- A small tropical disturbance east of the Lesser Antilles gained enough organization to be named a tropical depression late Friday night.

Tropical Depression Eleven was located about 500 miles east of the Windward Islands, moving west-northwest at 6 mph.  It has highest sustained winds estimated at 35 mph.

Faster upper-level winds near the Islands and in the Caribbean Sea will be the main factor behind the depression's projected dissipation over the next three days.  Between now and then, limited strengthening is forecast.
