MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Tropical Depression Cindy continues to accelerate northeast over the southeastern U.S. The storm (as of the final advisory by the NHC at 10:00pm CT Thursday) had winds sustained at 15 mph.
The wind threat continues to be minimal and the highest hazard continues to be heavy rains causing flash flood concerns. In addition, severe weather with isolated tornadoes will still be a possibility for areas along the Tennessee Valley and Mid-Atlantic.
A cold front will absorb the depression and it will move southeast toward our local area, increasing rain chances for the end of the weekend. For more details on that and your full local forecast, click here.
