TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- In the latest in a series of science fairs at area schools, scores of student experiments were on exhibition at Governors Charter Academy in Tallahassee Tuesday morning.
Students in the third through eighth grades participated. Project subjects ranged from the classic chemical reactions in homemade "volcano" and soda/Mentos fountains, to groundwater filtration systems, to measuring solar energy.
WTXL chief meteorologist Casanova Nurse assisted in the evaluations of the quality of the projects in the upper grades. Several projects will thereafter be picked for school-wide recognition.
