Valdosta Police Investigate 2 Separate Homicide Cases, Teen Suspect Arrested

VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) -- Police are investigating two separate homicide cases that happened hours apart.

The first murder happened on the 1700 block of Marion Street around 11 p.m. Monday, said police.

The victim, 40-year-old Timothy Linder, was at his home when police say he got into an altercation with another person. According to the police report, shots were fired and Linder was hit several times.

Police found the victim inside his home and he was taken to South Georgia Medical Center, where he later died from his wounds.

The suspect ran from the scene, said police, but witnesses were able to identify him. Police later arrested a 16-year-old suspect and charged  him with armed robbery, felony murder, and possession of firearm during the commission of a crime.

The second homicide happened on the 1200 block of Tracy Lane just after 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said they were called to the scene and found 41-year-old Zaentelyterrio Hardy suffering from a knife wound. Hardy was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Police say that a domestic dispute had taken place between Hardy and a woman who lived at the house.
