TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A Tallahassee woman is facing felony charges after police say she bit her boyfriend's face during an argument, leaving him with multiple puncture wounds.
Taylor Morgan, 22, was arrested after Tallahassee Police officers were called to a home on Mosley Street on Wednesday for a battery.
When officers arrived, they say Morgan walked up to the home and identified herself. Not long after, the victim approached officers as well.
According to court documents, the victim said he and Morgan, his girlfriend, were inside the bedroom when they got into an argument. When the victim tried to leave, he told officers that Morgan stood in front of him to prevent him from leaving.
"Morgan then pushed [the victim] down to the ground and jumped on top of him and bit him on the lower portion of his left cheek," investigators wrote in an arrest affidavit.
While Morgan was still biting him, the victim managed to push her off him and restrained her to keep her from attacking him. He was later able to escape and call 911.
Officers say the victim had an imprint of a bite mark on his cheek as well as multiple, bleeding puncture wounds from what appeared to be teeth.
Based on the victim's injuries, officers found probable cause to arrest Morgan for false imprisonment and battery.
Documents say Morgan began resisting arrest when officers took her into custody, but was successfully handcuffed and placed into the back of a patrol car. While in the back of the car, investigators say she managed to slip off one of her handcuffs and started kicking the door. She was again detained and additionally charged with resisting arrest.
The following day, Morgan got out of prison on a pre-trial release.
