(RNN) - Woodstock Organic Matcha Vanilla Oats are being recalled nationwide from retail stores because of possible contamination by listeria. Garden of Light or Blue Marble Brands, the company that makes the product, issued the recall voluntarily.

The product comes in a 1.8 oz paperboard cup with a green laminated film lid, according to a notice posted Tuesday on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration site. The UPC code on the containers is 0-42563-01786-6, and the Best Buy Date Code of “SELL BY MAY 11 2018” is on the bottom of cup.

Listeria may cause healthy people to suffer only short-term symptoms that include headaches, high fever, stiffness and abdominal pain and diarrhea.

But the bacteria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

Consumers can get full refunds by taking their receipts to the places of purchase and are advised to destroy the product.

The maker of the product can be reached at 888-534-0246.
