(CNN) - Three people were hurt Thursday when strong winds damaged a Florida pier.
Part of the roof was ripped off of a restaurant on the Cocoa Beach pier.
According to the National Weather Service, the incident was caused by a microburst of strong weather with winds recorded at 50 to 60 miles per hour.
Witnesses say the storm was unexpected and happened very quickly.
The three people who were injured were treated at the scene.
