MILWAUKEE, WI (WISN/CNN) - Make sure you check your attic and basement.
A Milwaukee man sold off his epic Nintendo video game collection for $20,000.
"You know man it's super sad. Like, the past 10 years it's been a huge part of my life," said Charles Amble. "It's kind of a nerdy hobby that a lot of people my age that grew up in the late 80s early 90s can appreciate."
He posted his collection to eBay, asking for nearly $30,000.
"The hobby really has started booming in the last five or six years. So it seemed like a good time to sell," he said.
After a few serious bids, Amble cut a deal, parting with his massive Nintendo collection for almost $20,000.
"I had a cash buyer come up from Ohio and come pick it up," he said.
He started collecting as a kid, but it wasn't until about 10 years ago, that Amble started to really ramp up his collection.
"Most of my collection came from garage sales and Goodwill finds and auctions stuff like that. I picked up all of these games for like a buck a piece $5 a piece, $10 a piece," he said.
He says in all he sold 750 games across three Nintendo platforms.
He did keep one piece though. A Super Mario sign to remind him of his super collection.
"I don't know. I just like the way it looked, I just always been a big fan of Super Mario brothers," he said.
