CENTENNIAL, CO (KDVR/CNN) - A convicted child sex trafficker has been sentenced to 472 years in prison - the longest sentence for a human trafficking case in U.S. history.
Women and young children were forced to sell their bodies, recruited on Facebook and taken to hotels as prostitutes.
"I can't begin to even explain what he did to my life," said Breahannah Leary, one of the victims.
Seven people are now guilty for their role in the child sex trafficking ring. Brock Franklin was said to be the ring leader.
Franklin walked in calm and collected, sitting quietly as a judge read his fate. Leary stood and addressed the court herself.
"Reading it today, and speaking and actually saying how I felt, and him hearing and having to sit there and listen to me, that brought me so much joy, and that's why I came today," she said.
Janet Drake, with the Colorado Attorney General's Office, said a 400-year sentence would send a strong message across the country.
"We're not going to tolerate this kind of violence to women and vulnerable populations," Drake said.
The crimes happened at hotels across the metro Denver area.
His defense asked for the minimum sentence, 96 years.
"He deserves every single minute in those walls," Leary said.
