SAN ANTONIO, TX (KSAT/CNN) – A nurse serving time for killing two children is facing a fifth murder indictment that could stop her scheduled release in March 2018.
Genene Jones is now charged with the 1981 death of infant Paul Villareal.
The latest indictment was returned Tuesday after a grand jury heard evidence in the case.
Paul died shortly after coming into contact with Jones while she worked as a nurse.
Jones is currently in prison for two child deaths in 1984.
Due to sentencing guidelines in place at the time of her conviction, Jones was scheduled to be released in March 2018.
