IL GOP candidate: 'Yes I deny the Holocaust'

Posted

(RNN) – The presumptive Republican candidate for Congress in Illinois’ 3rd District called the Holocaust an “extortion racket” that Jews use to draw the U.S. into war in the Middle East in an interview with CNN.

Arthur Jones is running for the the Republican nomination in the contest, for a House seat representing a portion of suburban Chicago, unopposed. He claims to be a former leader of the American Nazi Party and has a long association with white supremacist movements in the Midwest.

“Yes, I deny the Holocaust,” Jones said Thursday. “It’s an extortion racket, pure and simple.”

He said an “honest investigation” would reveal the Holocaust as a tool Jews use, “to bleed, blackmail, extort and terrorize their enemies. And to suck us into one war after another in the Mideast.”

Jones will be vying for a seat currently held by Democrat Dan Lipinski, who faces a primary against Maria Newman, a former marketing consultant. Jones said he was not campaigning as a Nazi, but rather as a Republican with an antiwar stance and an emphasis on jobs.

Roughly six million Jews were killed in the Holocaust during World War II in an extermination campaign by Adolf Hitler and Germany’s Nazi Party.
