WASHINGTON (CNN) - Democratic congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee took a knee on the House floor on Monday.
Jackson Lee criticized the president's remarks calling for the firing of NFL players who kneel during the national anthem.
She said "That is racism. You cannot deny it."
Her demonstration was one of many in the past few days.
On Sunday, NFL players and coaches showed solidarity by kneeling or interlocking arms during the national anthem.
President Trump said his opposition to the protests had nothing to do with race, but about respect for America and the flag.
The White House has defended his comments.
