PEARLAND, TX (KTRK/CNN) - One driver was killed and two others injured after a chain-reaction crash in Texas early on Monday.

Police say an SUV was going more than 100 mph when it slammed into the back of a minivan waiting at a red light.

The impact sent the minivan crashing into another minivan and then flipping into a ditch, killing the driver. The driver of the SUV and the other minivan were hospitalized.

Police are investigating whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
