NEW YORK (NY1/CNN) - Notorious B.I.G.'s legacy still lives on 20 years after his death.
In Brooklyn, NY, a newly-renamed basketball court has been unveiled in his honor.
The Christopher "Biggie" Wallace courts now sit in the heart of the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood where the late rapper grew up.
It was previously the old Crispus Attucks playground.
Lil Cease, a fellow rapper and friend of Biggie called the renaming a fitting honor.
"We're just trying to shed light on his name in a positive way. He was really trying to change lives, and he changed mine," Cease said.
A city councilman said renaming the basketball court was part of a promise he made to Biggie's mother.
