VALDOSTA, Ga. - Three of Valdosta State's 10 regular season football games will be televised as part of the Gulf South Conference "Game of the Week" package, as announced by the conference office late last week.
Two of the televised contests will come on VSU's home field of Bazemore-Hyder Stadium, both against non-conference foes. The first game to be shown on television will be VSU's contest against Angelo State on Saturday, September 28. The Saturday evening contest is slated for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.
The Blazers' regular season home finale against UNC Pembroke will also be carried live on television. The contest, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, November 9, will be moved to Thursday, November 7 and will feature a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
Valdosta State's final televised game will feature one of the most important match-ups in the Gulf South Conference this year as the Game of the Week package will carry the contest between Valdosta State and West Alabama on Thursday, October 10. The game, which will be played in Livingston, Ala., is also scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
The Blazers kickoff their 2013 season Saturday, September 7 at 2:00 p.m. when it travels to Henderson Field in Macon, Ga. to play Fort Valley State.
