TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 10, 2019) – Tallahassee Community College completed a three-game sweep of Shelton (Ala.) State Community College on Sunday afternoon with a 17-3 win at Eagle Field.

The Eagles have won four straight games overall to improve to 7-3 while Shelton State heads home with a 0-3 start to its season.

Tallahassee pounded out a season-high 13 hits en route to its fourth straight game with double-digit runs.

Four players enjoyed multi-hit games led by Ridge Abinsay who was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Logan Lacey homered for the third time in four games and was 2-for-4. Taylor Lomack was also 2-for-4, and Chase Forester was 2-for-6.

Lacey deposited reliever Colby Smelley's first pitch over the left field wall for a grand slam, extending the Eagles' lead to 11-0.

Andrew Shivak (1-1) allowed three hits and struck out four batters in five shutout innings before handing things over to his bullpen.

Tanner MartinCollier BaggettAllen Roulette and Lacey each pitched an inning and combined to allow only one hit, though they did walk eight.

Luke Ard's seventh-inning double scored Eric Hernandez and Abinsay to increase Tallahassee's lead to 17-2.

Tallahassee will return to action on Tuesday when it travels to Abraham Baldwin (Ga.) Agricultural College. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
