Posted

TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - While college spring football is in the books, things are just cranking up for high school teams.

Monday kicked off day one of spring for teams in Florida, and Quinn Gray's Lincoln Trojans got after it.

The Trojans. made the second round of the playoffs with a young team last year. They return a lot of big names from the squad, like tight end Kamari Morales and quarterback Chris Beard, and Gray excited about the future.

"Obviously we finished the '17 season with a foul taste in our mouths the way we ended the season," he said Monday. "Although we did somethings better than we expected, but at the end of the day we didn't finish the season how we wanted to. The guys that are returning are hungry. We've seen the excitement through the off season, to get out here and throw the football around a little bit is very exciting for them and also the coaches."

Lincoln plays in a three team Spring Jamboree with Godby and Rickards on May 18th.
