TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Rickards High School football team is one of seven North Florida and South Georgia high schools still in the hunt for a State Championship. For the Raiders, this is uncharted territory.

Friday's Regional Final showdown with Ponte Vedra is the Raiders first ever Elite Eight showing. This team has already made history, but they want the Southside to know they aren't done yet.

"We all want more. We all think that we have a chance to get to where we have never been in football and that's a State Championship," said head coach Quintin Lewis. "Hopefully we can keep winning. It's going to be a tough task, but we want to let them know we're doing it for them. We talk about having pride in where you coming from and what you're representing and the Southside is what we're representing. From South City to Woodville we're doing our thing for them and hopefully we're able to come back with a win."

Rickards travels to Ponte Vedra Friday. Kickoff is at 7:30.
