TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - For high school volleyball teams in the state of Florida, it's officially win or go home time. The road to state is paved, and teams across the Big Bend look to start off Regional play this week with a win, or else their season is over.
Classifications 5A through 9A hit the court for Regional Quarterfinal play on Tuesday night. The Class 8A District 2 Champion Leon Lions hosted Niceville, winning in straight sets. They will face rival Lincoln for the fourth time this season on Friday in Regional Semifinal Play.
In Class 6A, Wakulla fell 3-0 to Arnold, ending their season. Suwannee won the first set against Mosley, but dropped the next three to see their season end as well.
In Class 5A, the Florida High Seminoles rallied back to take the first set over North Bay Haven. They took the next two sets to win in three. The Seminoles will face Pensacola Catholic in Friday's Semifinals.
Classes 1A through 4A kick off Regional Semifinal play on Wednesday. Aucilla Christian did play their 2A match-up on Tuesday night against Christ's Church in which they fell 3-0.
