TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - Five local high school football teams were in action under Thursday night lights, and at Gene Cox Stadium, Lincoln had a District Championship on their minds.
With a win over Leon Thursday, Lincoln would lock up the Class 7A District 1 Championship. They got off to a good start. Two touchdowns by Caleb Matthews made it 14-0 at halftime, and the Trojans exploded in the second half, winning 47-0 to seal up the District title.
At Chiles, the Timberwolves got the 56-14 win over Gadsden County on Military Appreciation Night, while Maclay fell at home to Holy Trinity, 48-7.
