TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — WTXL's Sports Director Alison Posey was live from Florida State's campus on Monday.

Posey said there's several new faces, but so far so good for this Florida State football team. The guys really are just excited to get back out on the field after the last couple of months working out.

The seminoles also have a new offensive coordinator Kendall Briles, Randy Clements heading the O-line, who came with Briles and Ron Dugans, who's heading the receivers.

FSU player Marvin Wilson said "Everything we had to do last year didn't turn out the right way so we learned what not to do and what we had to fix. WE're going to fix that and get better. Even last year when things weren't going right, we never lost faith in getting better. We do what we do as far as doing what we do."

Head Coach Willie Taggart said "We have to create competitive depth. We have to have depth at every football position on our field and just continue to get better in areas we were bad at last year and do that one day at a time and make sure we have the right people at the right positions so we can execute like we need to."

One big difference for this program WTXL noticed right off that bat is that there is no music at practice, just in the water breaks. Also James Blackman still the only eligible QB on this roster AND Taggart said they're still working on getting transfer Jordan Travis eligible to play.
