TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Wednesday was another day for student-athletes to take advantage of the early signing period. Four Tallahassee Community College athletes put pen to paper, committing to continue their athletic careers at the next level.
David Simmons, a men's basketball player who was the Panhandle Conference Freshman of the Year last season, inked with Middle Tennessee State. A trio of baseball players signed, as Deyvid Silva, Brooks Buckler and Nick Blasucci signed with South Alabama, Kennesaw State and the University of Florida respectively.
"It speaks volumes about TCC athletics," said Athletic Director Rob Chaney. "Schools look at TCC and see us having young men and women that they feel can come in and make an impact in their programs."
