TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Arnecia Hawkins hit all seven of her shots, including three 3-pointers, for a career-high 23 points and No. 22 Arizona State found its shooting touch in the second half to defeat No. 10 Florida State 68-56 on Monday.
Quinn Dornstauder added 11 points, and Sophie Brunner and Elisha Davis had 10 each for the Sun Devils (8-3), who shot 65 percent in the second half, including three straight 3-pointers midway through the fourth quarter.
Arizona State, which used a 12-0 run in the third to take control, made 15 of 23 shots, including 6 of 9 from 3-point range, and was perfect on seven free throw attempts in the second half.
Florida State (9-3) was led by Brittany Brown with 17 points and Emiah Bingley with 15. The Seminoles had 16 turnovers, eight in the third quarter when they were outscored 19-9 — a season-low for points scored in a quarter.
