TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) -  Last year the Florida State soccer team fell in the third round of the NCAA Championships. This year's group returns all but four members of that team, and with a strong senior class, and a top notch schedule, there's a lot of excitement around 2018.

August 16th is game number one for the Noles, and it's a big one. Vanderbilt comes to Tallahassee, in fact, this entire schedule is stacked. USC, UCLA, Florida are all home matches, and that's just for out of conference opponents.

Head coach Mark Krikorian saying this year's home slate is the best the Noles have ever had, and they're ready to get this season rolling.

"They're the games you want to play in," said senior Megan Connolly. "You come to Florida State to play at the highest level. To have that schedule, back to back home games with so much talent, it's just very exciting for all of us."

"We have a lot of good folks coming in here and we're going to be challenge that's for you," added Krikorian. "You guys are going to be treated to some very good players and some very good soccer."

Kick-off for that opener against Vanderbilt is set for 7:00.
