GREENSBORO, N.C. – Florida State senior guard Alexa Deluzio was named ACC Player of the Week by the league office on Monday, a day after carrying the Seminoles past Boston College by recording her first career double-double.

Deluzio, who earned her first conference player of the week award, became the third Seminole to capture the honor this season joining junior forward Natasha Howard (Nov. 19) and senior guard Leonor Rodriguez (Nov. 26).

The fifth-year senior from Orlando, Fla., scored 25 points, grabbed a career-best 12 rebounds and dished six assists to lead the Seminoles past the Eagles, 76-70, on Sunday at the Donald L. Tucker Center in Tallahassee, Fla. She made 9-of-14 field goal attempts and drilled 7-of-8 free throws, including a pair to ice the game in the final seconds.

Deluzio is the catalyst on the ACC’s No. 1-ranked scoring offense (83.6 ppg) and top field goal shooting team (.496). She leads the Seminoles in scoring (15.9 ppg), while grabbing 5.2 rpg and shooting 52 percent from the field and 45 percent from three.

After coming off the bench for the first eight games of the season, Deluzio has started the last four and averaged 18.8 points, while shooting 60 percent from the floor. She has reached double figures in scoring in nine consecutive games.

The 21st-ranked Seminoles have raced out to an 11-1 record this season and face Georgia Tech at 7 p.m. in Atlanta on Thursday before taking on Maryland in College Park at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
