SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Trevor Cooney scored a season-high 28 points, Rakeem Christmas registered his fifth double-double of the season with 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Syracuse beat Florida State 70-57 on Sunday night for its sixth straight win.
Syracuse (12-4, 3-0 Atlantic Coast Conference), which entered the game hitting just 29 percent from the 3-point line, hit 6 of 11 from long range in the first half and finished 10 of 17, tying its season best.
Cooney, who finished 7 of 11 from behind the arc, scored 14 points and Michael Gbinije added seven to help Syracuse to a 35-22 lead at the half and the Orange never faltered in the second.
Xavier Rathan-Mayes led Florida State (9-7, 1-2) with 14 points and Boris Bojanovsky had 10 points and four blocks.
