TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Commmunity College men's basketball team is ranked 8th in the country. They were 13-1 entering some stiff competition this weekend, and so far, so good with that competition. The Eagles picked up a 36 point win over Broward College Saturday.

This Eagle squad is talented, but they have less than a month until conference play starts, and over the next few weeks the goal is to get ready for that.

"Panhandle play starts January the 4th so we have to figure out who we are, what we have, what we have to work on," said head coach Zach Settembre. "Obviously winning by 40, that's not teaching us as much as we want to. There are five teams ranked in the top 25 in the Panhandle in the conference so we have to make sure we're ready for conference play but also these tough non-conference games we got."

Tallahassee plays Sunday against Miami Dade College. They'll have a little break for the holidays before returning home the 28th and 29th for a tournament they're hosting.
