TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) — The Tallahassee Community College men's basketball team advanced to 23-4 overall Saturday night, after their 61-52 win over Chipola College.

The eagles are now 7-2 in conference play.

For Chipola, Cheikh Faye had the most points with 11. On the eagles side, Daivon Stephens and DeAndre Gholston each had 12.

"Our guys came out in the second half with tremendous fire," said TCC's head coach, Zach Settembre. "We got on to them in the locker room knowing that this was going to be a 40 minute game. We weren't going to have a lot of opportunities to feel sorry for ourselves. It was going to be a battle every single possession. We made big time winning plays down the stretch, top to bottom. Our guys chose defense tonight, we only gave up 52 points, that's a conference low, outside of the Northwest win here. Just really proud of the way we were able to guard a very talented team."

The eagles will see Northwest Florida State College on Feb. 15.
