CLEMSON, S.C. — On Saturday afternoon, Florida State football could never quite get anything going against #2 ranked Clemson. When the tigers struck the first time, they never let up.
Las Vegas set the spread at 27 points. According to ESPN, that is the most the Seminoles have been an underdog by in the last 40 years.
The tigers would get up by 14 in the first quarter. The second quarter was no different. 14 unanswered points for Clemson to send both teams into their locker rooms with different perspectives. Clemson with a 28 points lead, and Florida State shut out in the first half.
Second half will look pretty similar for both sides. Touchdowns for Clemson, while the Seminoles struggled with interceptions and other turnovers.
Late in the third, Alex Hornibrook in at quarterback, will get the first Noles touchdown of the game thanks to a pass to Tamorrion Terry. He would run it 64 yards for the touchdown. The Seminoles would score again in the fourth quarter but that would be in. Trevor Lawrence and Clemson will remain undefeated overall and in ACC play with the 45-14 win over Florida State.
Alex Hornibrook went 8/12 with 84 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Tamorrion Terry would have two catches for 83 yards and one touchdown.
