The No. 7 Florida State soccer team (7-0-2) defeated No. 14 Clemson (5-3-2) on Sunday afternoon at the Seminole Soccer Complex. The 3-1 win capped off the Seminoles’ ACC home opening weekend and improved their ACC record to 3-0. The Seminoles' unbeaten streak grows to 18, taking the spot as the second longest in school history.
Jody Brown was the catalyst for the offense today, picking up a career-high five points with two goals and one assist. Cristina Roque and the Seminole defense were solid the full 90 minutes, allowing only one goal from a penalty kick.
Brown put the Seminoles up early in the 6th minute, finishing off a cross from Onyi Echegini. Clara Robbins slotted a ball through the Tiger defense to Echegini on the left side of the goal box.
