TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - On the eve of the semifinals of the ACC women's soccer tournament the league announced that Florida State's Dagny Brynjarsdottir was named the conference offensive player of the year.

Brynjarsdottir is the third Seminole to claim Offensive Player of the Year honors as she joins past recipients Mami Yamaguchi (2007) and Tiffany McCarty (2009). The senior captain currently leads the Seminoles in points (29), goals (13), shots (61) and game-winning goals (4).

The Icelandic native ranks in the top 10 in the ACC in seven offensive categories while leading in goals per game, points per game and shots per game.  Brynjarsdottir enters the ACC Women’s Soccer Championship in Greensboro on Friday having scored a goal in five straight matches.
