VERO BEACH, Fla. (WTXL) - Aucilla Christian Academy in Monticello has just over 100 students in their high school, so the fact that their softball program is so dominant is even more impressive. The Lady Warriors made their third straight trip to the State Final Four on Thursday, and they started off strong, winning their 2A Semifinal over Canterbury 9-1.

The win sealed up a spot in the 2A title game, where they would face Grandview Prep, who the Lady Warriors beat last year for the State Championship. The ladies looked for the same result on Thursday, and they got it. Aucilla scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning and didn't look back, winning 13-0. Abigail Morgan has six strikeouts in the win to seal up their second straight State Championship.

In Class 1A, it took defending State Champion Chiefland 13 innings to knock out Franklin County, but a six run 13th sealed up the 12-6 win, eliminating the Seahawks from the tournament. Chiefland went on the beat Wewahitchka to win the State Championship.
