Second COVID-19 related death confirmed in Leon County

LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida Department of Health has confirmed a second COVID-19 related death in Leon County.

At this time health officials have not released any other information about this individual.

FDOH says the first COVID-19 related death was a 62-year-old man that had previously tested positive for COVID-19.

As of 11 a.m. on Friday, Leon County now has 187 confirmed COVID-19 cases.

This is the second confirmed COVID-19 related death and 25 residents have been hospitalized, according to FDOH.
