TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — As thousands of workers are let go in Florida, one company based in Tallahassee says they're actually hiring right now!

Trulieve is meeting the state's medical marijuana needs while looking for all kinds of workers.

"There is a lot of opportunity available for people who may have suddenly found themselves out of work," said Kim Rivers, the CEO of Trulieve.

Rivers said her business has been deemed essential, serving medical marijuana needs for thousands of patients.

"We have a lot of openings across the company," said Rivers.

There are as many as 100 open positions, for delivery drivers, manufacturing, cultivation, retail, and call center employees.

"We're actually offering as many positions as possible to work from home," Rivers said.

Right now in Florida, Trulieve has more than 40 stores open. By the end of the year, they want to have more than 60, which means a lot more jobs.

"We have over 3,000 employees across the state of Florida," said Rivers.

Rivers said it feels incredible to be hiring people when so many other business have to let employees go.

"I'm so proud of all of our employees," Rivers said. "They have really stepped up and leaned in."

She says they've listed their job openings online, available here.
