JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A 71-year-old Monticello woman is serious condition after she blacked out and her car hit a tree.
Florida Highway Patrol said that Rebecca Davis was driving south on S.R. 59 Wednesday afternoon when she blacked out.
They said that her car traveled across the northbound lane of S.R. 59 before going onto a grass shoulder and crashing into a tree.
After the initial crash, the car spun around and overturned to its left side.
Davis was taken to Capital Regional Hospital for serious injuries.
Troopers say that there are no charges pending in the crash.
