PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (AP) — A man was taken to a hospital for treatment after bees attacked him as he worked in a gate community in Pembroke Pines.
The man was working with several other employees from a wetland treatment company on Wednesday morning when the bees flew out of shrubbery and attacked them.
Police say several of the men jumped into a lake to seek cover from the bees.
Pembroke Pines police Capt. Al Xiques told the Sun Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1POrUHt ) one of the men called 911.
The name of the injured man was not released and his condition wasn't immediately available.
