TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Last month, we told you about a Tallahassee woman on a mission to help those impacted by recent hurricanes.

Tracey Davis received donations from all around the Big Bend and delivered them a few weeks ago.

What started with a goal to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey turned into a much bigger project. Those donations wound up in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico, supporting families impacted by Harvey, Irma and Maria.

Tracey Davis filled up a U-Haul truck with everything she received from the community. She said people from Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, Jefferson and Madison counties all pitched in to send help to those in need.

Davis and three others drove down to Miami and teamed up with an organization called "Hip-Hop-4" to distribute the supplies from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1. She says even several weeks after the hurricanes, people still need these donations and she's thankful for the community has done.

Much of the water, clothes and laundry items went to Puerto Rico, where the island is still slowly recovering.

If you'll remember, Tracey had a big bus ready for the trip, but only a few volunteers actually went, so the actual bus never left Tallahassee. Tracey says she's not planning any more trips but if God calls her, she and the bus will be ready.
