VSU Police Investigating Robbery on Campus

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - The Valdosta State University (VSU) Police Department is investigating a robbery on campus.

It happened about 5:17 p.m. on Thursday, March 19 at the Student Recreation Center, located at 1300 Sustella Avenue.

According to police, an unknown, unarmed black male approached a female student near the Center's entrance and grabbed her cellphone. He then got away in a tan-colored Chevrolet Tahoe.

The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as being husky built, 5'11" wearing a light green-colored shirt.
