VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - The Valdosta Police Department have arrested a man in connection to a shooting in the 400 block of Cypress Street.
Reports say the victim was found shot twice on Wednesday at approximately 9:15 p.m.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries. The victim claimed that three African American men robbed him and he was shot during the struggle.
He reported knowing one of the suspects.
The department began investigating the case and the alleged shooter was identified as 24-year-old Aquavious Morgan.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant against Morgan for armed robbery and aggravated assault, issued a lookout to law enforcement in the area, and he was arrested in Ware County.
Detectives are still working to identify the other two suspects.
