TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The victim of a deadly shooting has been identified.
Roy Lee Simmons was shot and killed around 4:30 Friday morning according to the Tallahassee Police Department.
Police say they responded to the area of Old Bainbridge Road and 4th Avenue after the consolidated dispatch agency received a call from a resident saying they heard a single gunshot.
After officers searched the area for any evidence of gun use, they located 61-year-old Simmons dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
Investigators are now asking anyone with information about the events leading to Simmons death to contact them at 850-891-4200.
