TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Capital City residents were served a Valentines Day treat Wednesday night while also giving back to the community.

The Autism Cooks Foundation put on a Valentine's social at Paisley Cafe.

The foundation is committed to teaching those with autism jobs in the culinary industry.

All of the food served tonight was prepared by those who benefit from the program.

Kiersten Lee, an organizer of the event, says the group wanted to get the community involved and wanted especially to bring out families with young people with special needs for a dance and Valentine's party.

The store manager says due to the turnout and positive feedback this may become an annual event.
