VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL)--A Valdosta shooting suspect is captured after he committed a burglary, according to the Valdosta Police Department.
On Tuesday morning, police say they received a call around nine about a burglary in progress on Crestwood Circle.
They say the suspect went inside a home, stole clothes, and then ran from the house.
Officers were able to catch up with the man in someone's yard on Fallingleaf Lane and Bradley Avenue.
He's been identified as Christopher Tooley.
Tooley was arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Jail. Some of his charges include two counts aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Those charges come from a situation back in March where Tooley was identified as a suspect in a shooting that happened outside of the Liberty gas station.
Police say a 15-year-old passenger and the driver, 22-year-old Dashay March got into a fight outside of the gas station. Gunfire was exchanged between the two cars.
The teen was hit in the cheek by the gunfire. March was also shot, but left the scene and was later arrested after a stand-off with police.
