Valdosta shooting leaves two people injured

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Police are investigating after two people were shot and injured in Valdosta.

The Valdosta Police Department say two people were injured after a shooting early Friday morning. They say they were called the 500 block of Hudson Street around 1 a.m. about multiple gunshots in the area. 

When officers arrived on scene, they found two people, a man and a woman, in the street suffering from gunshot wounds. They say the man subject had been shot in the torso and the woman had been shot in the lower leg area.

The male victim is listed in serious condition while the female is listed in good condition. 

Both adult victims were immediately provided first aid from responding police officers. EMS also responded and transported both subjects to a local hospital for treatment.

The investigation is active, and detectives are continuing to gather witness accounts and physical evidence.
